Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, known as the cidade maravilhosa (the marvelous city) has one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The city’s spectacular harbour is dominated by the famous rocky outcrop sugarloaf and further up the Corcovado (hunchback) peak, rising 709 m above the Baia de Guanabara and providing the focal point for the classic Rio skyscrapers. The statue of the Christ, the Redeemer, stands on top of Corcovado. Sâo Paulo, S. A’s largest city, the third largest in the world is Brazil’s financial, commercial and industrial center.
Belo Horizonte is the gateway to all the colonial towns, and Ouro Preto, one of the most famous historic towns now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the Northern region, Manaus is the capital of the state of Arizonas, built in 1896 in the Italian Renaissance style, with its majestic neo-classical façade has a number of fine restaurants and hotels and is excellent for free shopping.
River Amazon, the world’s longest, is ideal for boat excursions.
Salvador da Bahia, contains the beautiful arts and crafts market. The historic district is a listed UNESCO World Heritage site. Also famous the Iguaçu Falls, the massive waterfalls on the border with Argentina and Paraguay, also a UNESCO World Heritage site which contains large areas of rainforests.

Chile

Visitors to Chile are faced with a wide variety of excursions from which to choose Northern region, central and the Islands and Southern region.

Ecuador

Quito:
Ecuador’s capital and second largest city has a setting of great natural beauty overshadowed by the volcano Pinchincha. Although, no Inca traces remain, the city has preserved much of its Spanish colonial character. The Pan-American Highway traverses the country from north to south, a spectacular route which passes through all the principal cities of the Andean Highlands.

Guayaquil:
Ecuador’s biggest city is also the chief port and commercial center

Galapagos Islands:
Situated about 1000 km west of the Ecuadorian mainland, the islands are black, barren and rocky. Made famous by Charles Darwin’s scientific voyage in the Beagle” during the last century, the island’s unique wildlife, which includes giant tortoises, lizards and iguanas, remains the most interesting feature of the modern day visitor. The islands have been turned into the national park.

Peru

It is also the starting point to trips to Machu Picchu, a complete city that was buried in jungle for centuries. Its staircases, terraces, temples, palaces, towers and fountains require a full day to visit. Additional places of interest are Puno, Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable one in the world, Arequipa etc.
