Barcelona: Spain’s second largest city, major commercial and industrial center and one of the most important Mediterannean ports. The Ramblas, originally the site of the ancient city walls, is now the major promenade area of the city, is famous for its excellent Romanesque art and it contains the most famous examples of the work and the visionary Catalan architect Antonio Gaudi.
Costa Brava: northeast of Barcelona with fine sandy bays is one of the most famous resort areas.
The Ballearics: Mallorca has probably the most to see and explore all of which can be made from Palma. There are still numerous beautiful bays with most resorts on the eastern section. You can rent a villa northeast of Mallorca. Menorca, is the best explored on foot, the most quiet of them all for peaceful holidays. On the contrary, Ibiza, is a very popular tourist destination to the youngsters with white sandy beaches and wild nightlife. Formentera, the last island separated from Ibiza by a 4 km channel (hourly boat services) operate during summer with relaxed pace of life for also peaceful holidays.
